Things to do within 5 minutes walk of the house
A long golden sandy beach, beach cafe, boat launching slipway, sailing school, boat hire, canoe & paddleboard hire, fishing & sightseeing trips, an 18 hole links Golf Course and the 870 mile long Wales Coastal Path - plus Abersoch Village, with its wide variey of restaurants, pubs, bars, shops & boutiques, pharmacy, fish and chips, a couple of marine outfitters, expensive wellies and couple of decent supermarkets - all less than 5 minutes walk from the house.
Slightly further afield
Mt Snowdon (50 mins) - 4-5 hour walk up and down. Parking can be tricky. Go early or, even better, out of season.
Beddgelert (40 mins) - picture postcard Welsh village with a river running through it. Cafes and ice cream shops. It's nice. Just before you get to Snowdon.
Morfa Nefyn (20 mins) - the famous pub on the beach and an amazing golf course.
Llanbedrog Beach (5 mins) - bar/restaurant in a beautiful scenic cove after a great 1-hour circular walk on Llanbedrog Headland.
Hell's Mouth Beach (7 mins) - surfing and the ultimate windy walk in big weather.
Porth Ceiriad (7 mins) - quieter, remote beach accessed down a footpath from a car park - our favourite beach.
Porth iago (30 mins) - Google this postcard beach. Even if you're an Abersoch regular you probably haven't been there.
Aberdaron (30 mins) - at the end of Lleyn Peninsula, next stop Bardsey - there's also great beachfront gastropub style restaurant there - the Gwesty Ty Newydd - best to book.
...and many more.
